The Blind Auditions of The Voice of the Philippines is coming to a close, and along with that is the arrival of the next phase of the competition — the Battle Rounds, where each coach pairs members of his or her team to try and out-sing one another, then select one winner from the battle pairing. Exactly a week ago, I shared with you a quick look at the Battle Rounds set and the names of each team’s advisors. Tonight, I will be revealing the big twist in the Blind Auditions plus some major deets from the recently finished taping of the Battles courtesy of our trusty source, byxspeaks.

UPDATE #1: The British Columbia coroner confirms that Cory Monteith’s cause of death is “mixed drug toxicity, involving primarily heroin and also alcohol.”
The office also said:
“It should be noted that at this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a sad and most-tragic accident”
The Monteith family has been informed of the autopsy results.

Here we go. The tenth night of the Blind Auditions is a coming. I still can’t get over Janice Javier‘s performance last night. That’s how awesome it is. Definitely deserving of the 4-chair turn. Will another artist be able to outsing the show’s current frontrunner?
It’s Week 5 of the Blind Auditions and honestly, it’s starting to get draggy. The audition phase has been stretched for too long that the whole aesthetic (if there is any) has thinned out too much. I can barely remember half of the artists who made it through to the Battle Rounds. This horrendously slow pacing is not only grating on my nerves but also my patience. An ideal Blind Auditions phase only lasts for three weeks. And here we are at our fifth week and still two more weeks to go. But anyway, let’s dive into tonight’s set of artists. Let’s begin with:
